Ride up the transition backwards with enough speed to reach the lip.

As you feel your wheels about to hit the coping, transfer your weight to your back foot and let your tail rest on the lip.

Stand up, so that you’re fully on top of the platform, pause for a second. Now drop back in and pump towards the opposite wall with renewed speed.
